Feeling squeezed by your circumstances?
Maybe you're wondering how you're going to make it... physically, emotionally or financially?
If so, you're in good company.
Surely Moses felt squeezed as He led Israel through the wilderness.
And David no doubt felt the pressure while King Saul jealously pursued Him.
And we know Paul was burdened with concern over the churches he served.
I could multiply examples.
But there's no need.
For all of God's servants feel the squeeze as they live out the mission God has for them!
The temptation -- when squeezed -- is to want to check out... quit... curl up... maybe even die.
But being under pressure doesn't mean it's time to give up.
It just means it's time to cry out to the Lord with a fresh dependence on Him.
Consider the words of the Psalmist...
... "Save me O God. The waters have come up to my neck" (Ps.69:1).
... "Lord, have mercy on me, because I have called to you all day" (Ps.86:3).
... "May your mercy come quickly to meet us, for we are in desperate need" (Ps.79:8).
... "O my God, do not delay" (Ps.40:17)
... "I cry out to you, Lord: Come to me quickly! Listen to my voice when I cry out to you! (Ps.141:1).
There are so many instances like these... God must really want us to turn to Him in our desperation!
And we can have confidence He hears us and answers us when we do.
Why, if God did not spare His own Son for us, surely He will take care of us in everything else (Rom.8:32).
"Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me" (Ps.50:15).
