You've heard the phrase 'station in life' before, right?
The phrase is a bit dated, but it's still used to refer to someone's place in life.
With the saying is the idea that every station in life has certain boundaries... set by things such as social status, skills, type of work you do, age, physical limitations, etc.
These boundaries are something we all have to deal with... and we can view them as restrictive...
... with our own personal boundaries even tempting us to complain that we could do so much more with our lives if we weren't limited by them.
But the boundaries around us can also be liberating...
... as we realize God in His wisdom has given us gifts and opportunities to serve Him in our unique circumstances.
Recognizing this saves us from constantly looking hither and yon for something we assume would be better...
... and it frees us to give our best in the station where He's appointed us to serve... no matter what your station might be.
'Above all, obey the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart. Remember the great things he has done for you" (1 Samuel 12:24).
