Looking for Jesus in your day-to-day business

One of Jesus's miracles was that He produced tax money from the mouth of a fish (Mt. 17:24-27).

The fish even provided the exact amount needed!

People often use this account to make a case regarding our obligation to pay taxes.

But there's something more here...

Jesus is concerned about our day-to-day business in this world... like paying taxes.

And... He has the power to rule creation in such a way our needs would be met.

This doesn't mean we're free to do nothing about our needs -- as we see Peter had to go catch the fish.

But it does mean we should be encouraged to look to the Lord regarding all our affairs in this world...

... and we should look expectantly for Him to meet us in them.
