On staying true to your calling

One of the most interesting things about the media's Russian collusion hoax is the number of people who had to ignore their callings to cover for a lie.

Think about it...

It's long been recognized that a journalist's first obligation is to tell the truth.

This goes way back to the days of early America... when the press saw itself called to serve the public by exposing lies and publishing the facts... whatever they may be.

So, you might say those swept up by the Russian collusion fiasco didn't just get behind falsehoods... they failed their calling in a really big way.

And from this we can all gain a little wisdom...

No matter what you're called to do, stay clear on what your calling is all about... and what it requires.

And stay vigilant against the forces that would lead you to compromise your calling... because to give way to them is a kind of malpractice.

And remember... whatever you're called to do, it's ultimately the Lord you're called to serve (Col.3:23-24).

This is the best way to stay true to what God's given you to do.
