After Jacob's funeral, Joseph's brothers were afraid.
They were afraid that with their father dead and gone, Joseph would turn on them and pay them back in full for all the wrong they had done to him.
But there was no vindictive spirit in Joseph.
He was totally confident that God had orchestrated every aspect of his life.
And he knew it was through the mistreatment of his brothers he ended up in the place God wanted him.
So, he had no trouble being kind and tenderhearted toward them.
He was convinced... though they meant evil against him, God meant it for good (Gen.50:20).
Like Joseph, God has been at work in every aspect of your life.
Even that parts where others have mistreated you.
So there's no need for any bitterness or grudges... you can be free to live with compassion and serve God well in the place He has brought you.
