This may seem radical, but I believe it's long overdue.
What am I talking about?
Well, there's a growing movement of individuals who are going before their local government bodies and telling them that they're responsible for allowing the taking of human life through abortion in their community.
This is a bold move.
Yet it's all being done respectfully.
No yelling.
No ranting and raving.
Just soberly confronting government leaders with the truth... that they have a responsibility for the death of innocent lives occurring on their watch...
... and that they will one day give an account before God regarding how they address it.
You can see an example of what I'm talking about here...

I understand this might make you uncomfortable.
I wondered about it myself.
But then I realized my own tendency to fear... and to give more reverence to human government officials than the King of heaven and earth.
And, it occurred to me this kind of action is right in keeping with the spirit of the Old and New Testaments...
Consider Moses confronting Pharaoh...
... the prophets challenging wicked kings...
... and Jesus and the apostles speaking truth to power...
It's all part of bringing God's world back to its rightful design.
So... do I think everyone ought to go in front of their government officials in this way?
Probably not... we've all been called to different places in Christ's vineyard.
But, it's likely we should all fear less and speak up more when we're exposed to something wrong in the place God does have us.
I think we could all use more humble boldness.
And the only way to come up with that mix is to keep looking to Jesus... the one who gave His life and was raised from the dead as the author and finisher of our faith.
