Recently I was reflecting on a plan that didn't work out.
I put about six months into this plan, but it just never came together the way I thought it would.
This puzzled me because it seemed like a great plan... and from my vantage point it looked like an ideal way to serve and honor God.
So I wondered, why didn't it work out?
After pondering and praying about this, I've concluded:
If your plans haven't come to fruition, it's not a sign God has failed you... so there's no reason to be upset.
Rather, it could be a sign your idols have failed you... and God is giving you a fresh opportunity to reconnect with Him and enter the story He is writing for your life.
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD" (Is.55:8).
