A friend of mine noted something about Jesus worth passing on...
When Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane He prayed that somehow the crucifixion could be avoided...
... but, after it became clear this was the Father's will for Him, He resolved to embrace the suffering and death He would soon face as His calling.
Jesus revealed this by the way He told Peter to put his sword away and said to him, "The cup which the Father has given Me, shall I not drink it?" (Jn.18:11).
So why do I mention this to you?
You may be facing some trial today. And you may wish the difficult circumstance you are in would just go away.
If so, it is perfectly okay to pray your situation would improve or resolve in some way. In fact, I think you should pray this way.
But after a time, God may make it clear the trial you are in is His will for you...
... and if this is the case, you're best off taking the difficulty on as your calling or present vocation.
And as you do, I believe you'll find Him to give you all the grace and strength you need to fulfill that calling well.
