When people survive some life-threatening event -- like an accident, war or deadly disease -- they often find a new sense of purpose.
They think, "I must have been spared for a reason."
Such a line of thinking fits right in with the Bible.
When God delivered Moses from his life as a fugitive, it was to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt.
And when the Lord opened the eyes of Paul and revealed how guilty and misguided he was, it was to transform him and make him an Apostle to the Gentiles.
In a similar way, when God delivers us from ourselves and our sin, He's got a reason in mind.
Now He may not reveal what that reason is through a burning bush or a light from heaven...
... and you'll likely never become well-known for your place in His plan...
... but you can be sure...
... if God has saved you, He's got a purpose for you.
And that purpose is fulfilled as you walk in the ways He wants you to go.
