Much is made over the fact that Noah must have endured all kinds of ridicule and isolation as he built the ark.
Most people would have given up from the opposition he faced... and the mere reality he was going at it alone.
But he did didn't quit. Or wear out.
He stuck with the project God gave him... he finished the job... and went on to live to the ripe old age of 950!
So how did Noah do it?
How did he persevere through not just the work, but all the misunderstanding and harsh opinions that must have piled on him?
The secret is -- as the scripture says -- 'Noah walked with God" (Gen. 6:9).
And as Noah walked with God, God surely gave him all that he needed.
And that same promise applies to all of us.
Certainly, today God's provision for us includes a community of believers... to encourage and strengthen and keep us accountable.
But still, situations will arise where we find ourselves alone.
Yet we're really not alone... we're never alone... if we're walking with God.
And as we walk with Him, He will supply whatever we need to fulfill His calling on our lives.
"For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly" (Ps. 84:11).
