Recently I had a decision to make.
I gave it a lot of thought. Tossed the options around in my mind. And even did some research about what I should do.
But I just wasn't getting any clarity.
Then I realized -- silly me -- that I hadn't really prayed about it.
And when I corrected that, all of a sudden things became clearer.
It was like turning the windshield wipers on after it had been raining awhile. And the course to follow became obvious.
James tells us if we lack wisdom we're to ask God for it (Jas.1:5).
He doesn't tell us what issues we're to take to God, because we're free to ask Him about anything.... whether the issue be small or great.
So going to God with our petitions for wisdom is something we ought to be doing all the time.
It's what keeps us from spinning our wheels. And keeps us on the course He has for us.
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye. shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" (Mt.7:7).
