According to a recent national survey, most Americans suffer from 'strong feelings of loneliness and a lack of significance in their relationships.'
In an age dominated by social media, that sure is ironic.
But it shouldn't be surprising.
Social media -- while providing a lot of exposure -- has its limitations.
And when we post there, it's usually about US... to tell the world what is happening in OUR lives... or tell it what WE think.
But meaningful relationships require something more...
They call for a focus on OTHERS... that arises out of an eagerness to serve THEM -- or with them -- using our God-given gifts.
Having these kinds of connections might mean going out of your comfort zone...
... but taking the initiative to head in this direction is the surest way to escape a lonely existence and build significant relationships.
So be on the lookout for ways God would have you connect with others by serving today.
