Recently my car
stalled out as I was taking care of some business in Orlando.
As the car was getting fixed by a mechanic, I walked over to a local restaurant for some lunch.
After I was seated at a table, I couldn't help but notice how many different races were represented by both the customers and the staff of this
restaurant.
The international flavor of the place was amazing!
The other thing I noticed is how well everyone was getting along... and even enjoying one another... with lots of interaction and laughter.
It was as if no there had learned from mainstream news that they were supposed to be suspicious of one another and hate one another!
The whole experience reminded me how tired I am of hearing about racism in the media.
Yes, I know... racism is a problem with some
people.
But so much of what we hear today is just ginned up to agitate and divide for political purposes.
And, besides...
In the end, there are only two races that matter... those who are in Adam and
those who are in Christ.
Or put another way... those who are trapped by their fallen nature, living apart from God and those who have been set free by Christ to live according to their Maker's design.
Keep that in mind amidst the racial tension of our
day.
