This week I got a call from my friend Bob Allums.
Bob directs a ministry called 'A Praying Life' and he does seminars all over the world.
Bob called because he's doing a men's retreat in Pittsburgh and he wanted to know if it was okay if he used some of the material from my book, Get Dominion.
As Bob
put it... in our culture today, men are portrayed as either incompetent neanderthals or oppressive brutes... and there's a great need for them to recover their godly role as rulers and cultivators -- in the family, church, and society as a whole.
I couldn't agree more.
As we look at the degenerate state of American culture, we can trace a lot of it to the fact that few men have any
vision for their lives in light of the dominion mandate given in the first chapter of Genesis.
Of course, the call to rule and cultivate is for everybody.
But the need for men to understand what God intends for their lives is especially great.
