The blessing of yard work

Some people like yard work and some people don't.

I happen to really like it.

But whatever your disposition toward yard work, there are some real benefits that come from doing it.

For one, it puts you directly in touch with your original calling to cultivate and protect what God has entrusted to you.

Also, doing yard work is a reminder that God made us physical beings in a physical world... and the physical world is not something to be despised or escaped... but managed and made more glorious.

Finally, there's the fact that doing yard work is one of those tasks where you can see immediate results... and can really enjoy that God-given sense of a job well-done.

So... I don't know if you have any yard work planned for the weekend, but if you do, make the most of it!
