A friend of mine pointed
out the other day that there's a difference between thinking about praying and actually praying.
And he noted that for some people the difference can be a decade or more.
As I considered that, I couldn't help but think how out of whack that is from the way God made things to be.
When God made Adam, He created him to live and do His work in constant communion with Him.
So as Adam worked the garden... to cultivate it and guard it and make it fruitful... it was all to be
done in interaction with the Father and under His oversight.
But once Adam started listening to the serpent instead of God, all that changed... and the union and communion he had with the Father was broken.
Yet... in Christ, that broken union has been restored.
And we can once again -- by grace -- talk with God and receive His guidance as we fulfill our callings.
The Father wants to talk with you, my friend, as you do your thing.
The key to having that
happen is to continually turn back to Him in repentance and faith in whatever place He has you.
