Ever get so numbed by
life that you have a hard time caring about anything?
If so, take it seriously.
Because that's right where your enemy wants you.
In the book 'The Screwtape Letters' there are many scenes where the senior demon, Screwtape, is advising his junior apprentice, Wormwood, how to sabotage God's plan for humanity.
In one of these advisory sessions Screwtape tells Wormwood that his job is to provide people who "do not care."
With these words author C.S. Lewis gives
quite the insight about Satan's own goals for our lives.
He wants us to not care...
... to not care about others.
... to not care about our relationships.
... to not care about our callings and responsibilities.
... to not care about our integrity.
... to not care about God.
To not care about pretty much everything...
... because
as this happens you're effectively neutered when it comes to living out God's design for your life.
So pay attention when you're heart gets cold and you're inclined to not care.
And take action to warm your heart up.
A good place to start is to read your Bible and pray.
Recovering a vision of God's purpose for you starts
