God keeps bringing
this idea to mind, and I thought I'd pass it on for your benefit.
Since it's helped me, it might help you.
The idea is pretty simple, but I've found it makes a profound difference when I put it into practice.
Anyway, here it is:
You only have so much energy to use in a day.
And if you spend energy on things like worry, fear or anger, you won't have what you need to fulfill the good things God has called you to do.
For example... if you are anxious, it's
going to weigh you down and wear you out (Pr.12:25).
So managing your energy well is an important part of serving God well.
This means we need to somehow keep what bothers us from consuming us.
And the only way we can do that is to keep casting our cares on Him (1 Pet.5:7).
