There's a little known
character in the Old Testament named Bezalel (Ex. 35:30-35).
Bezalel's job was to serve as the chief artisan during the construction of the tabernacle... so he was responsible for the tabernacle's design and overseeing all the workers, from stone masons to embroiderers.
What's noteworthy is that the Bible tells us specifically that the Spirit of God equipped Bezalel to do his work... so all the knowledge and skill he needed to fulfill his calling came from the Spirit.
The
Holy Spirit, of course, continues to equip us to fulfill certain roles... and the roles He calls each of us into.
I don't think we remember that enough.
And something else we hardly seem to recognize...
... if it's the Holy Spirit who gives us the ability and knowledge we need, it sure makes sense to be careful to walk in Him in all we do.
It takes the Spirit to do your best!
