The problem with weak-willed men...

The late Oswald Chambers once noted that weak-willed men had no compelling passion, making them yield to whatever dominating influence they face at the time.

So... if a weak-willed man is around people who are good he tends to do good... but if he is with those who are bad he is inclined to act badly himself... all because he lacks a ruling passion that empowers him to do otherwise.

What a great insight!

And it begs the question...

Where do you get the kind of vision for life and strength of will that allows you to resist whatever outside influence that seeks to dominate you.

Well it begins by realizing God has made you and called you to rule and develop what's in your care... and do it in a world that will throw all kinds of diversions and temptations your way.
