"Don't let a lack of praise get you down..."

Ever get discouraged because your efforts seem to go unrecognized?

And do you ever wonder if your contribution is worth it?

And... maybe even feel like giving up?

Well, here's a little perspective about recognition that may help you...

Jesus once said that when a servant comes in from working the field, his master does not thank him... because he was just doing what he was supposed to do (Lk. 17:9-10).

So... as servants in the Kingdom, whether we get thanks from others makes little difference... what matters is whether we're fulfilling our duty to the King.

Sure, getting words of thanks is appreciated... but it's not necessary when our focus is on doing the work of service God has given us.

Fulfilling our calling well and knowing that God is pleased with that is good enough.
