Satisfaction from a job well done...

Do you recall what it feels like when you do a good job with something?

Well last week I traveled to visit my parents for a few days and while there took care of a few odd jobs.

One of them was to clean their oven.

When I was done, I couldn't help admiring how good it looked. It really shined!

In fact, before I left for home, I opened the oven to take one last look at its gleaming interior!

Strange behavior?

Not really.

God made us to do good work, and to take an interest in accomplishing it.

And... God Himself even took time after the days of creation to observe that all He had made was very good (Gen.1:31).

So it makes sense that... as those made in His image... we would experience satisfaction from a job well done... and aim for it in all He has given us to do.
