"Have you run your idea by a friend?"

I'm getting together with a friend today to discuss an idea.

I will tell you more about this if things progress, but for now I just want to pass this on...

I do hope you have people in your life with whom you can share ideas and dreams for the purpose of developing and pursuing them.

It's so easy to get stuck... isolated with our own thoughts... when we really need the clarity, encouragement, and direction that comes when we interact with others.

Scripture refers to this as 'iron sharpening iron' and living in community.

And it's something we all need.

God has ways He intends to use you to influence others and build His kingdom with your gifts.

But for that to come to full fruition, you need the help of others.

So don't be shy in talking with a friend about an idea God has put on your heart.

You'll never know what He might be up to until you take that step.
