Why does Adam get the blame?

Ever wonder why we blame Adam when Eve was the first to eat the forbidden fruit?

Because God made Adam responsible to guard the garden... and defend it against threats like deceiving serpents.

This made Adam's primary sin not so much eating the fruit himself, but failing to keep what God entrusted to Him.

And it goes to show... an important part of fulfilling God's call on our own lives is protecting what He's entrusted to our care.
