"So how do we glorify and enjoy God?"

There's an historic catechism that begins with this question and answer:

Q. What is the chief end of man?

A. Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.

You can hardly find a more succinct statement of our purpose in life than what's in these words.

But they beg a follow-up question:

So HOW are we to glorify and enjoy God?

By obeying what He's revealed in His Word, of course.

And, the very first instructions He's given us there are about ruling and cultivating the earth wherever He has us.

So, if you're ever stuck as to how God would have you glorify Him, just go back to these initial orders for direction.

There's really no better place to start.
