We had a quite an
unusual storm last night.
It had lots of rain, continual lightning and near constant thunder.
It was the thunder that made the storm so unique.
It just stayed rumbling for about 45 minutes straight!
While hearing this, I couldn't help but note what an interesting world we live
in... and that there is no reason to ever be bored.
Now, of course, we all might feel restless at times... as we wonder what we ought to be doing with our time.
But we never need to stay bored for long if we ask God a few questions:
- Is there some way I can be more fruitful?
-
What can I do to enlarge and multiply my influence for good?
- Is there something I can do to better cultivate and develop what's around me?
- Or is there something I'm aware of that needs guarding or protecting?
You see... God tells us in the first couple of chapters in Genesis that we're to be fruitful and multiply (Gen.1:28) as
well as cultivate and guard what's in our care (Gen.2:15).
Since He's made us to do these things, we tend to get bored if we are not producing in these areas... even in a small way.
So, if you ever don't know what to do with yourself, just prayerfully ask these questions... and I believe God will show you something challenging and interesting to do.
