Do you ever see yourself as
stubborn?
Maybe too stubborn for God to use you?
Well... good news!
God calls and uses stubborn people!!
If you look at the record of God's Old Testament people Israel, you'll find them to be a self-willed group of souls.
The Bible emphasizes this by describing them in unflattering terms... such as: stiff-necked, rebellious, hard of heart, and so on.
Yet, despite their willfulness, God chose the people He did to serve as His instruments in the
world.
Now, He tested and refined them along the way...
... that's what the wilderness wanderings and times in exile were all about... so they would learn to trust and obey the Lord from their trials.
And God works in a similar way through our own difficulties today.
So don't ever let a stubborn streak of your own keep you from thinking that God wants to use you.
Instead, let every occasion of hardship and bewilderment drive you to Him as He works to lead
you to His purpose for your life.
