When it comes to the first
chapter of Genesis attention tends to be given to 'how' God created.
You know... the whole creation-evolution debate.
This focus is unfortunate because it often pushes out any consideration of 'why' He created in the first place.
Plumbing the depths of how life began definitely has its value.
But when it comes to living your life on a daily basis, there's much more to gain by focusing on 'why' He made us at all.
And this He made plain when He revealed that we're to be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it (Gen.1:28).
So go ahead learn all you can about how the world began... it's a good thing do
do.
Just keep before you that the reason He put you in the world is to rule and cultivate it for Him.
