The late Christian author Dallas Willard used to describe grace as being like jet fuel.
For example... he used to say that a follower of Christ burns grace like a 747 burns fuel on takeoff.
Comparing grace to jet fuel may seem odd... until we remember that God made us to be zealous for good deeds... and we need plenty of grace to carry those deeds
out.
This, of course, compels us to keep going back to the Lord to get our tanks refilled.
And it also leads us to ask the question:
What am I going to use God's grace for today?
