Christ rules--so what does that mean for you today?

Have you ever noticed that some people speak of Christ's rule as something entirely future?

They'll say things like:

"It sure will be great when Jesus comes back and rules this hurting world of ours."

But the thing is... He is already ruling.

We know that because forty days after His resurrection Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father...

... and from that position of authority He is now ruling and waiting for all His enemies to be made a footstool for His feet (Heb.10:12-13).

The idea here is that Christ is progressively bringing His rule to the world through His people. And He's doing it now.

This is a total game changer when it comes to how we view the world, and our place in it...

Because we can be assured that even though our world may seem crazy, it is not out of Christ's control...

... and we can pursue with confidence the work He's given us to bring the ways of His Kingdom to the place He's put us.
