From Spectator to Steward
A man
in one of our groups had a breakthrough this week.
He shared how chaotic things had become since school let out for the summer.
More noise, more tension, and less order.
At
first he felt like he was just reacting to whatever happened.
But then something clicked.
He realized:
“My home is a domain God has called me to manage.”
That realization changed the way he viewed the situation.
The circumstances hadn’t changed.
Things were still noisy, and there was work to do.
But his perspective changed.
He stopped seeing himself as a spectator of events and started seeing himself as a steward of a responsibility God had entrusted to him.
That’s an important distinction.
Many men are waiting for circumstances to improve before they begin leading.
But leadership rarely starts when everything is in order.
It begins when a man accepts responsibility for what God has
placed in his care.
That doesn’t mean fixing everything overnight.
It means taking the next faithful step.
Bringing intentionality to an area that has been
neglected.
And order where there has been confusion.
Taking a step in that direction is a real win.
What domain has God entrusted to you that is calling for your
stewardship?
Sometimes the breakthrough isn’t a change in circumstances.
Sometimes it’s a change in perspective.
