The Danger Is Forgetfulness
There’s a command repeated throughout Scripture that we tend to overlook.
It’s this: remember.
“Take care lest you forget the Lord your God” (Deut. 8:11).
The great danger for men is not so much unwillingness or weakness.
It’s forgetfulness.
We forget who made us… what He commanded… and why we are here.
And when we forget, we coast without direction, initiative, or conviction.
This
matters because…
God did not create you to drift through life collecting comfort and avoiding risk.
He made you in His image to cultivate and keep.
To live in covenant with Him.
To take responsibility for your domains.
To build, protect, and bless others in community.
This design is not accidental. It is creational.
It’s built
right into who God made you to be.
He has given you what I call Dominion DNA.
When a man forgets this, he lives beneath what
God intends.
So today, remember.
Remember your Creator.
Remember the commission He has given you.
And remember that responsibility is not a burden — it’s a gift to fulfill by His grace.
You were not made merely to exist.
You were made to exercise faithful dominion with God.
And recovering this begins by remembering.
“I stir up your sincere mind by way of reminder…” (2 Pet. 3:1).
