God Moves with Care and Precision, Not Speed
The world is moving faster than ever.
News cycles change by the hour. Technology promises instant results. And efficiency has become a virtue.
If we’re not careful, we start to assume something dangerous:
God must be moving too slowly.
It may seem like it, but the truth is God has never been late.
He is always moving at exactly the right speed.
What feels slow to us is His precision at work.
Scripture confirms this.
In Exodus, Israel waited generations for deliverance.
Moses spent forty years in obscurity before leading anyone.
And when God finally acted, it was decisive—but only after deep preparation.
Peter also reminds us:
“With the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (2 Pet. 3:8).
God isn’t slow.
He’s
patient.
And His patience serves redemption.
We see this pattern everywhere:
- Abraham waited a generation to receive the son God promised.
- David was anointed long before he was crowned King.
- Jesus spent thirty years preparing for three years of ministry.
So don't think God isn't doing anything just because things seem slow.
He's always, in His good providence, at work.
The challenge we face is bridging the gap between our expectations about time and God’s way of accomplishing His good work.
That bridge is built on trust.
And on faithful tending.
We're to steward what God
has placed in our hands now—to work, pray, obey, and cultivate—believing that in His time it will bear fruit.
And we're to remember that we have a part—no matter how significant it appears—in His grand story of redemption.
So:
“Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up” (Gal. 6:9).
God is not behind in your life.
He is forming you for something.
Stay faithful.
