The Problem Isn’t Men
Our culture’s message for men is that they are the problem.
That their masculinity is toxic.
That they are too aggressive,
ambitious, and assertive—too driven to build, lead, protect, and achieve.
But the crisis we face is not toxic masculinity.
It's a toxic culture that discourages
godly masculinity.
From the beginning, God created men with design and purpose.
They are to be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it (Gen.
1:28).
They are to cultivate and keep what God has entrusted to them (Gen. 2:15).
God created and commissioned men to build and protect.
That calling has never changed.
Yet many men today are being shaped toward passivity.
So they hesitate and disengage from responsibility.
They suppress their God-given desire to build something meaningful and protect what matters.
And when builders and protectors withdraw, cultures decay.
The answer is not less masculinity.
The
answer is redeemed masculinity, with men recovering their God-given purpose.
Men who reject passivity.
Take responsibility.
And cultivate families, churches, businesses, communities, and culture under God’s authority.
This recovery will not begin with institutions.
It begins with individual men answering God’s call.
This includes you.
Do not surrender to passivity.
Look to God for grace and strength.
Build, cultivate, protect, and serve in the unique place He has called
you.
