The Myth of Neutrality
For a long time, many of us have assumed that life operates in neutral territory—a place of agreement, consensus, and “facts.”
That assumption seemed to work when our culture shared a basic moral framework.
But as that consensus collapses, something deeper is being exposed:
There is no such thing as neutrality. And there never was.
Scripture makes this clear.
God calls us to faithfulness, to love not the world, and to bring every thought under Christ’s rule.
Jesus said it plainly:
“Whoever is not with Me is against Me” (Matthew 12:30).
So there is no middle ground…
Every decision, every loyalty, every belief flows
from a heart that either submits to God or resists Him.
Why does this matter for men?
Because the “neutral zone” has been a comfortable place to live—avoiding conflict,
blending in, and delaying costly choices.
But that zone is disappearing. And the times are revealing where we truly stand.
So as Joshua told the men of
Israel:
“Choose this day whom you will serve” (Joshua 24:15).
The myth of neutrality is being exposed.
We can no longer live as if faithfulness to Christ and friendship with the world can coexist.
The world is drawing its lines clearly—and so must we.
Prepare to take your stand where you’ve been content to stay neutral.
This is where your faithfulness will be tested.
Challenging? Yes.
But with faith that God is near, you can stand firm.
“And behold, I am with you always,
to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).
