The Battle is Real
After years of walking with men through highs and lows, one truth has become impossible to ignore:
We are in a war.
A war that goes all the way back to the Garden.
The enemy’s strategy is not normally loud or obvious.
More often he works
quietly—subtly tempting, whispering guilt, stirring fear.
Above all, he wants to confuse your identity.
If he can keep you from knowing who you are and living as the man God designed you to be, he has already won half the battle.
Evil is real.
The devil is not interested in making you uncomfortable—he wants to lead you astray and take you down.
Sometimes he seeks to neutralize men through apathy, lulling them into passivity.
Other times he aims to destroy through depravity, pulling them deeper into sin until they lose heart.
That’s why Scripture is so clear:
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls
around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Pet. 5:8).
You and I cannot afford to drift.
We must stay watchful, prayerful, and intentional.
A soldier who
ignores the battle is already defeated.
But the man who puts on the armor of God, who takes his place on the field in faith and prayer, can stand firm.
So stay awake. Guard your heart. Pray with persistence.
Strategize like a general who knows the field of battle.
You have been given everything you need in Christ to resist the enemy and live strong in your dominion calling.
“So then, let us not be like others who are asleep, but let us be awake and
sober” (1 Thess. 5:6).
