Redeeming this moment
Even in sorrow, God is at work.
In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, I’ve heard numerous accounts of people:
- reconsidering the direction of their lives,
-
returning to church,
- and renewing their commitment to the Lord.
Praise God that He is able to use even tragedy to advance His redemptive plan.
But this is not just something to observe.
It’s a call for each of us to join in what God is doing.
1. Pray
As the Spirit stirs hearts, pray for lasting fruit:
Repentance and faith among unbelievers, and greater boldness and godliness among believers.
Prayer must remain our first priority in these days.
2. Pursue a godly life
These past years have been marked by spiritual laxness—but God has our attention now.
Repent where you must, trust Christ with your whole life, and discipline yourself to live in a way that brings light to others who are still in darkness.
God wants to use you, but you have to be ready.
3. Engage others
We have grown accustomed to retreat and silence.
But this is a time to be proactive.
Speak truth with love. Step forward in courage. And let your life be a righteous influence wherever God has you.
I believe people have not been this spiritually reflective since 9/11.
They are pondering truth, eternity, and what truly matters—and they are making decisions..
Let’s not let this opportunity go to waste.
Redeem it for good wherever you can.
"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as
wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil" (Ephesians 5:15–16).
