Becoming human in a dehumanized world
We live in an increasingly impersonal world.
Algorithms replace conversations. Systems replace shepherds. Efficiency replaces presence.
And slowly, almost without noticing, men begin to mirror the world they live in—detached, flattened, and dehumanized.
But this is not the world God made.
From the opening pages of Scripture, we are confronted with a startling reality:
God is personal. He speaks. He names. He walks. He calls.
“The LORD God walked in the garden in the cool of the day” (Genesis 3:8).
This is no distant force or abstract principle.
The God of the Bible reveals Himself as “I AM”—self-aware, relational, and present (Exodus 3:14).
He initiates a covenant, saying, “I will be your God, and you shall be my people” (Exodus 6:7).
And in the fullness of time, this personal God drew nearer still.
“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).
Jesus did not save humanity from a distance.
He ate with sinners,
wept at graves, and touched the unclean.
He called men by name.
In Him, we see that God does not merely command relationship—He models it.
An impersonal world trains us to withdraw. God invites us to draw near.
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8).
As you walk with Him, something happens.
The God who is personal restores what the world has eroded.
He renews your heart, sharpens your loves, and reawakens the personality He gave you to bring into His world.
Don’t become less human in a world that’s already forgotten what that means.
Walk with the living God—and bring His order, life, and presence into every place He has entrusted to you.
