Be a Christian in Public
Many people assume that culture is neutral.
That it’s simply a shared space where different beliefs can coexist without conflict.
But cultures are never neutral.
They always reflect underlying loyalties.
And when a society embraces the myth of neutrality, decline eventually follows.
We see this in
once-great cities like London or Minneapolis… where abandoning a Christian moral vision has led to confusion, disorder, and decay.
Culture always flows from worship or allegiance to God… and when this shifts, so does the culture.
To understand, let’s return to the beginning…
God created humanity with a clear purpose: to build a God-honoring civilization.
He commanded us to be fruitful and multiply, and He charged Adam to cultivate and keep the garden-world.
The entrance of sin did not cancel this mission.
Nor did the coming of Christ.
In fact, Jesus—now the risen heir of the nations (Psalm 2)—guarantees its fulfillment.
It’s this vision that gave
birth to the world’s great advances in education, law, commerce, and the arts.
Civilizations flourish when they honor God…
But they descend into corruption,
lawlessness, and authoritarianism when they do not (Deuteronomy 28).
That pattern is not accidental. It’s covenantal.
So if you’re concerned about where our culture is
headed, start here: cultures are not neutral.
They either obey Christ or they defy Him.
So don’t hide your light, let it shine.
Our culture needs what you can bring to it.
One of the most powerful things you can do is simply live as a faithful believer, wherever God calls you.
