Where Strong Men Come From
It’s often said that we need stronger men.
I agree.
But what do we actually mean by “strong,” and how do we get stronger men?
One simple way to think
about strength is this: the ability to bear weight under a load.
A man with strong legs carries weight farther.
One with a strong back lifts what others
can’t.
The same principle applies to the inner life.
A man with strong character can stay steady when the pressure hits.
He can bear up when temptation whispers.
And he doesn’t fold under stress when the moment matters.
This kind of strength isn’t loud or showy.
It’s hidden until life puts weight on it.
And the good news: you
don’t have to manufacture this strength on your own.
The kind of strength we need most comes from the God…
“Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His
might.”
He’s the One who strengthens the weak, steadies the shaken, and gives ordinary men fortitude.
And as you depend on Him, obey Him, and walk with Him, your
inner man grows… bit by bit, test by test.
So yes, we need stronger men.
And the path there is simpler than you may think:
Lean on the Lord, take responsibility for your character, and let Him build the kind of strength that can bear all kinds of weight.
May the Lord do for you what the Apostle Paul prayed: strengthen you “in the
inner man” by His Spirit (Eph. 3:16).
