No One Is Exempt — But You Are Essential
Men often drift in one of two directions: we think the rules don’t apply to us… or we think our lives don’t
matter.
Both are lies.
First, no one is exempt.
No one is entitled.
We will all give an account to God.
We will
all die.
Scripture is blunt: “Each of us will give an account of himself to God” (Rom. 14:12).
No one gets a pass.
God calls every man to faithfully follow Him — no exceptions.
Second, no one is replaceable.
God has placed you in a specific family, church, workplace, and community during this moment in history (His story).
No one else can serve the Lord exactly where you are with the relationships, opportunities, and gifts He’s entrusted to
you.
You are not an accident in His plan.
You are a steward — placed in your time, for His purpose.
Third, some men do become exceptional — but not because they’re gifted or special.
Exceptional men are simply ordinary men devoted to using what God has given in service of His
kingdom.
Their influence for good grows because their faithfulness grows.
All of this points in one direction:
Be faithful where God has called you.
Not someday.
Not when life slows down.
Not when you finally “feel ready.”
Today.
The situation you are in right now matters.
So does the effect your life has in that situation.
And God has already given you everything you need to serve Him well — right where you are.
