A Wake-Up Call for the Church
A new study from the Family Research Council (FRC) confirms what many of us are sensing:
God’s people are
losing biblical clarity.
A few numbers stand out:
-Fewer than half of churchgoers believe it’s very important to have a biblical worldview.
-Around 30% claim a biblical worldview, yet only 11% actually hold one.
-Confidence in biblical teaching on core moral issues is dropping — abortion, homosexuality,
transgenderism.
-Only 54% of regular attendees now believe the Bible is without error, and only 61% affirm belief in the God revealed by Scripture.
-One in three
churchgoers prefer socialism as an economic system.
When views like these take root, they inevitably shape the culture God has called us to cultivate and keep.
But
at the core, this is a discipleship problem.
Too often we’ve reduced the Christian life to personal peace and private devotion.
We compartmentalize faith instead of
applying the values of God's kingdom to everyday life.
And when we don’t disciple believers to think biblically, the values of the culture fill the void.
The result is
predictable:
Many Christians end up with a faith that functions like a hobby rather than the transformational force God intends.
As Scripture warns, “My people
perish for lack of knowledge.”
This is why intentional, consistent discipleship matters — which is what Made for Dominion is pursuing week after week.
On an encouraging note:
Spiritual interest is strong, and many believers want guidance on applying their faith to the issues we face.
We’re seeing this clearly among the men in our ministry.
There are real opportunities in front of us to recover biblical clarity and help transform lives in our spiritually confused society.
Let's seize them!
