What really signals Christ’s return?
Many look at our world and think:
“This must be the end.”
Economic turmoil.
Social upheaval.
Gross immorality.
Threats of war.
Surely these are signs Christ is about to return, right?
Scripture tells a different story.
Trouble isn’t a cue to look up and wait.
It’s a call to get to work.
Jesus gave us a mission—disciple the nations (Matthew
28:18-20).
That mission is still unfinished.
The clearest sign of His return isn’t chaos.
It’s peace.
It’s blessing.
It’s the nations turning to Christ.
Isaiah said the day would come–
When kings seek God’s wisdom…
When swords turn into plowshares…
When the earth is full of the knowledge of the Lord like
waters covering the sea. (Isaiah 2:1–4)
John saw it too:
The kingdoms of this world becoming the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ. (Rev. 11:15)
That’s where history is headed.
Not toward collapse, but toward Christ’s total rule.
And He’s not returning for a retreating church.
He’s returning for one who reigns with Him.
So don’t let the headlines make you an anxious spectator.
Let them make you a faithful servant.
There’s plenty of work to do.
Let’s get after it.
