Don’t settle for yesterday’s faith
Keep this in mind:
God’s goal for you is maturity (Eph. 4:13).
But here’s the catch—maturity doesn’t happen without ongoing growth.
Too
many men settle into yesterday's faith.
They stop listening, stop learning, stop depending... and quit moving forward as God intends.
They think because they believed
once, they’ve “arrived.”
But God’s not done with you. Not even close.
Look at Adam.
He was made full-grown, but not fully-formed.
He needed to grow into maturity.
Yet
he bypassed the process.
So when temptation came, he wasn’t ready.
He chose self over God.
And we've been suffering ever since.
Now contrast that with Peter.
He stumbled. He even denied Jesus.
But he kept following.
And through failure, repentance, and grace, Peter matured.
By the end, he was leading others with wisdom and courage.
How did he do this?
He didn’t quit growing.
Ephesians 4 says we’re meant to “grow up in every way into Christ.”
Not just
once. Not just when it’s easy.
But continually—day by day, decade by decade.
So don’t coast on old faith.
Let God stretch you into the person He’s shaping.
That's how we mature.
So let’s keep going.
