The King's Friends
Most believers think of God as King, Lord, or Savior.
And they see themselves as servants.
All true.
But do you realize He also calls you friend?
“You are my friends if you do what I command you. … I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.” (Jn. 15:14–15).
Friends
know what their friends are up to.
They share the same interests.
And they want each other to succeed.
That’s how friendship with God works.
He lets us in on His purposes, and He calls us to join Him.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness" (Mt. 6:33).
So seek to know Him better.
Learn His
heart.
Pay attention to what He’s pursuing. Then step in and collaborate with Him.
Friendship with God is more than comfort.
It’s the center of a life well-lived.
