Over
the last couple weeks we’ve been emphasizing our identity in the Lord.
We need this.
Becoming solid in your God-given identity is crucial.
God has something for you to do—a mission to fulfill.
In biblical terms, He calls you to “take the land” (Num. 33:53).
Knowing who you are is essential to succeeding in this.
But too often we see ourselves as small and incapable—like grasshoppers in the presence of giants.
If that’s how you see yourself, it will keep you from walking in your purpose.
That’s why a clear, biblical understanding of your identity matters.
God doesn’t just call you a son.
He calls you an ambassador...
A member of a body...
And even more:
-An athlete (1 Cor. 9:24–27): requiring discipline, training, and self-control.
-A farmer (2 Tim. 2:6; 1
Cor. 3:6–9): called to work hard and trust God for the harvest.
-A soldier (2 Tim. 2:3–4): in a battle--who stays focused, endures hardship, and follows your Commander.
The better you understand how God sees you, the better you’ll fulfill what He’s given you to do.
Renew your mind regularly in who you are in Him.
