Too
many men go through life alone.
Isolated. Self-reliant. Emotionally guarded.
Functionally fatherless.
Even in the church, many operate with an orphan mindset—as if everything depends on them.
The orphan mindset says:
-You’re on your own.
-You have to earn your place.
-You can’t trust anyone to be there for you.
-You’re never quite enough.
It breeds anxiety, drivenness, comparison, anger, and shame.
And tragically it cuts men off from the very resources they need.
But here’s the truth:
“You did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption” (Rom. 8:15).
You’re not a slave. Or an orphan.
In Christ, you are a son.
That means you are:
-Loved — not for what you do, but for who you are.
-Secure — no matter what threats come your way.
-Led — by a Father who delights to guide you.
-Heir — with an unshakable inheritance in Christ.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone.
You belong to
God’s family.
So don’t live like you’re on your own.
Take off the orphan mindset.
Walk in the Spirit of adoption.
And get after the mission you've been given—knowing you’re a beloved son.
