Recently I was talking with a friend who felt misunderstood.
He told me that people tend to view him as contrary.
But as we talked, I realized
something about his gifting.
He’s exceptionally insightful.
He notices things others don’t.
He can identify dangers and call them out with clarity.
I told him...
“You’re like an immune cell in the body--isolating threats and protecting the health of the whole.”
That’s nothing to feel badly about.
It’s a
vital role—and it points to a deeper truth:
The body of Christ needs every part working properly.
Not everyone is an eye or a hand. But each has a place.
You may not always feel like you fit.
But that doesn’t mean you don’t have a part.
“Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.”
—1 Cor. 12:27
God has uniquely designed you—not just with gifts, but with a purpose within His body.
When we discover that, it brings freedom.
You lose the need to compare, compete, or conform.
So you can play your part with grace and truth.
Your place matters.
No need to be
ashamed of it--or regret it.
Excel in it.
For the good of others and the glory of God.
