Have
you ever felt too small for what God has called you to?
You're not alone.
When Israel stood at the edge of the Promised Land, they sent in spies.
The majority came back afraid.
They said, "We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them" (Num. 13:33).
That's how fear talks.
It shrinks your sense of identity. Forgets God's presence. And magnifies the enemy.
This mindset didn’t just distort their view of themselves—it cost them their future.
Instead of advancing into the land God had promised, they wandered for forty years.
Many men today are stuck for the same reason.
Not because God hasn’t called them forward, but because they see themselves as grasshoppers—insignificant, outmatched, inadequate.
But here's the truth:
God doesn’t ask you to be enough.
He asks you to trust that
He is.
Caleb and Joshua saw the same giants, but they responded with faith:
"We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it" (Num.
13:30).
Not because they were strong, but because they knew God was with them.
So as you begin a new week...
Where have you been seeing yourself as a grasshopper?
Where have you pulled back instead of pressing in?
The grasshopper mindset will keep you from God’s purpose for you.
But faith in the One who calls you to dominion moves you forward.
