You were made for connection
Recently I was continually disconnected on an important phone call.
Every time we started to make progress, the line would drop.
My purpose in the call was completely frustrated by this!
It got me thinking: living disconnected has the same effect.
God made us for connection—first to Himself, then to others.
Jesus
said, “I am the vine; you are the branches… apart from Me, you can do nothing” (Jn. 15:5).
Without a living connection to Christ, clarity, fruitfulness, and impact will elude us.
Just like that dropped call, our purpose gets cut off.
But it doesn’t stop there.
God also designed us to be connected to others.
We’re not meant to do life or mission alone.
Paul says we’re members of a body (1 Cor. 12), and each part matters.
Disconnection from others leads to drift, discouragement, and eventually disobedience.
So consider:
Are you living connected?
Connected to God—through His Word, prayer, and dependence on the Holy Spirit?
And connected to
others—through honest relationships and shared purpose?
The enemy thrives in isolation.
But God empowers our purpose through connection.
God has called you for a purpose.
Don’t let that call drop.
Stay connected.
